  • Squinting eyes
  • Trembling

  • Whimpering, moaning, crying, especially on movement
  • Screaming
  • Increased respirations, shallow breathing. Normal rate is 25-36
  • Floppiness or limpness – “wilting”
  • Hiding
  • Crankiness, unusual behaviour like biting
  • Biting out of a fear response
  • Lethargy (difficult to rouse)
  • Flat ferreting a lot
  • Sleeping constantly
  • Head bobbing can be a sign of increased heart rate
  • Fur roughed up
  • Bottle brush tail that doesn’t go down when there is no reason for it.
  • Obsessive licking of a particular area
